THE JOY OF REDISCOVERING YOU

Zoe,

You are 13 months old this week. We cannot pry our eyes away from your gaze, your amazement at the little things, your enjoyment of your everyday. As we long to teach you, teach us. As we learn to trust you, trust us. As we ache with love for you, know this: we could not love you more.

And then there is tomorrow.

Every blade of grass, a wonder; every crawling ant, a neighbor; every broken limb, a crutch on which to prop yourself up in these wobbly, learning days.

As you discover God through the world around us, we know grace again in the joy of rediscovering you.

And in your happiness we are being saved, healed, and loved back to life again.
