SATURDAYS in AUTUMN

Most of these gorgeous Saturdays are spent waking early then riding our bikes to the Farmer's Market, to breakfast, and hither, thither, and yon around town. Not everyone loves the Fall. We certainly do. Though we will most likely do autumn without the brilliant colors, we will nonetheless have the brisk but bearably cool mornings, the open-windowed-days-turn-the-heat-on-nights, and the long afternoon outings.

Owensboro is good for these things. And we are thankful for them.

Reid's Orchard, a 137-year old, huge local farm throws an annual shindig - "The Reid's Orchard Apple Festival" - at which some of these pictures were taken! It was a classically autumn day, albeit a bit warm at times, and if you could imagine "it" made with apples, "it" was at the festival. Great time, indeed.

It was the first of (we hope) many lovely days.
